Somnio Superyachts
Somnio is in a class of her own. Her scale is spectacular - she will be the world’s largest yacht by length and volume. With 39 private residences and 6-star facilities, her owners and invited guests will form an intimate community circumnavigating the globe in effortless style and comfort.
The project, with a build, design and outfitting cost of approximately €500 million, is being overseen by Somnio co-founder Captain Erik Bredhe, previously Master of M/V The World. Apartment prices will range from €20 million to over €55 million and bespoke features can be custom-designed to the lifestyle and requirements of each owner.
The yacht will also have the onboard capabilities to undertake focused ocean research. This will include comprehensive studies and prototype testing for solutions, notably those which reduce negative impacts on the marine environment.
I was commissioned to create a website for Somnio in time for Monaco Yacht Show 2021, highlighting her design (Winch & Tillberg Design of Sweden) and positioning as the most exclusive address in the world. She is due to launch in 2024, and is being built by Vard in Norway.
